Installation procedure

1. Log in as root.
2. Download the disk driver patch archive, patch-QNX425-0711-Fsys-atapi.tar.
3. Get the cksum to ensure that the binary is correct:

   # cksum patch-QNX425-0711-Fsys-atapi.tar
     

4. Compare the result against the checksum posted on our website.
5. Extract the archive with the updated driver:

   # cd /
   # tar -xvof download-path/patch-QNX425-0711-Fsys-atapi.tar

   The driver will be installed as patches/QNX425-0711/bin/Fsys.atapi.

6. Back up the existing disk driver:

   # mkdir patches/QNX425-0711/backup.date
   # cp /bin/Fsys.atapi patches/QNX425-0711/backup.date

7. Copy the new file to the /bin directory:

   # cp patches/QNX425-0711/bin/Fsys.atapi /bin
     

8. Make sure that the binary is executable:

   # chmod a+x /bin/Fsys.atapi
